Niqui Carlton

I have loved music and singing since I was a child. I would make up songs and record
them into a tape recorder and pretend I was somebody famous.
Throughout school I sang in the choir, school plays and just about anywhere I could.
My passion for music developed even more once I left school and I took on the task of teaching myself to play the guitar and also the piano (following on from the lessons I had
as a child).
I'm currently a worship leader at Joshua Generation Church. I write my own songs and
have had opportunities to record in a studio, singing lead and backing vocals on two albums that our church has recorded, and I've had an amazing opportunity to record my own album!
I received vocal training from Madlen Tjankov, which developed my singing technique, understanding of vocal care and helped boost my confidence.
I would encourage anyone with a desire to sing to commit to developing their talent and making the most of their gift.
