Guitar

I started playing guitar at the age of 14 in my church worship band. Shortly after my brother and I started a band and played in a band together for 10 years.
In that time we recorded an EP and I did studio work for other artist. I taught myself to play the guitar for a number of years till after high school where I studied for 12 months, spread over two years, under Egard Volchenk, a renowned South African jazz guitarist. Needless to say after that my playing went to a whole other level as I was challenged in the areas of technique and “style”- playing.

After working on mastering these new found techniques I started playing in cover bands which stretched my knowledge of playing the guitar.
I have been a fulltime teacher now for 2 years. I break down my lessons into bite sized chunks, remembering that aspiring guitarists are people too! ;-p
